A range of water-soluble products are formulated to help with the depression of gangue; these products are composed of natural polymers and other substances, such as carboxymethylcellulose, which work together to achieve the desired effect.
AECI Mining Chemicals offers a wide range of reagents to improve the mineral flotation process, ensuring efficient separation and recovery of valuable minerals. Our selection includes collectors like xanthates, dithiophosphates, and thiocarbamates, which attach to specific sulphide ores such as copper, lead, and zinc during flotation. We also provide carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) as a depressant to prevent silicate minerals, enabling targeted flotation of more valuable materials. Our frothers stabilise the froth, ensuring the formation of small, stable air bubbles crucial for effective separation, while our high-quality Polyacrylamide based flocculants, help aggregate fine particles, improving the dewatering process in mineral processing.

The dry depressant powder is effectively wetted in the dedicated mixing tanks using our specialised JetWet Head wetting system. The depressant mixture is then mixed and ready for use.
